Game Design: brainstorming
Hello From The Other Side » Devlog
Things I'm trying to figure out:
- Will this be a more traditional TTRPG or a journaling game? If it's a journaling game, will you play it solo or could it be played collaboratively by different people, since there are different alters?
- What mechanics best fit the theme? Here & Far is where I originally got the idea from, given that it comes with 3 different premade scenarios and the author was asking what other possible scenarios there could be but the truth is I still need to look at the game (which I already own) and see if it fits or not.
- How the heck do I make a game about DID that is not only a "good game" from a playability point-of-view but also a "good game" in terms of doing a decent job giving proper representation to this (so often mistreated) community? I will definitely be having systems doing proof and sensitivity reading of the whole thing (to ensure that it's somehow accurate and not too triggering), so I hope that helps.
